About Us:

In 1962, Joseph and Joyce Zajchowski purchased 100 acres in Jeffersonville, Vermont, where the family planted balsam fir seedlings. For several years, in the mid- to late 1980s, sons Greg and Steve harvested a large fir and transported it to Burlington as the Church Street Marketplace Christmas tree.

In 1983, Greg and Steve planted the first balsam fir seedlings to be sheared, shaped, and sold retail from the Zajchowski home in South Burlington and by Boy Scout troops in surrounding communities. Son Dave continues to sell trees retail at the South Burlington home.

In 2002, Greg opened the current Cut Your Own stand at the Farm. He spends many hours throughout the year shearing, mowing, and caring for his Christmas trees which take 8 to 12 years to develop into the trees you cut.

Although the Christmas trees live in Jeffersonville, Vermont, Greg Zajchowski and his wife Shari and daughter Rachel (facebook specialist) live in Richmond, Vermont where they make the balsam fir wreaths they sell at the Farm.
