Mount Philo State Park

This quick and easy trail is just a little over a half mile to the top and offers spectacular view of the Adirondack Mountains and the Lake Champlain Valley. This is Vermont's oldest state park, created in 1924!

Found this thanks to a wrong turn. Amazingly neat little park. Lots of history and interesting tidbits about the world.back in the ice age. Reminds me of a similar place on Orcas Island in WA. Very much worth hiking the trails

Nice hike to the top (if you park at the bottom parking lot, as there is no car access to the top during winter). Great view of Lake Champlain at the top. Great place for a BBQ or a picnic.

I went there for sledding and I think it was pretty good. In terms of sledding, I would say that the only issues we're that the path wasn't wide and that there were a lot of people, but that's not really the point. If you actually hike it it's a nice view for an hour long walk.

Beautiful view. Relatively easy and short walk. Parking is free during this season
