The staff are all expert guides and will work with you to bring out your inner Degas. What more, the place is fully stocked, which means you just have to show up—because drop-ins are always welcome. They even provide a complimentary cheese platter, ice, glasses, and openers for paint and sip events, but the alcohol is on you.

2. Paint Nite, Burlington, VT

With events every month at thousands of local bars around the globe, there’s bound to be an event in your neighborhood. Shake up your night out by mixing it up with some color, because nothing gets the create juices flowing like a sip or two. Hosted at a local hotspot in your town, a master artist with lead you through painting your own 16 by 20-inch acrylic masterpiece. An energetic and patient instructor will help you at your own pace and encourage you to let your inner artist show. 

3. Sip N’ Dip, Chaffee Art Center, Rutland, VT

Founded in 1961, the Chaffee Art Center’s mission is to “nurture the essential relationship between the arts and our community.” The center offers exhibits from local artists, art classes, and collaborative events. Their Sip N’ Dip classes feature local artists who take guests through a step by step recreation of their favorite pieces. At $30, all materials are provided, and you just need to bring a friend and a bottle of wine.

4. Studio Uncorked, Southern Vermont Art Center, Manchester, VT

Studio Uncorked is all about the fun of having a brush in one hand and a glass of wine in another. Follow as a local artist recreates his/her favorites in a step-by-step interactive class. Wine, snacks, and painting supplies are all provided, so you just need to show up. The upshot is a masterpiece that you’ll remember for a long time.

5. Burlington Paint and Sip Studio, Burlington, VT

It is super easy to don a beret and a paintbrush and get your artist on with Burlington Paint and Sip. Just go to their website, select a location, select an event, show up, grab a drink, and you are good to get creative. A local artist will walk you through creating your own one of a kind masterpiece while you sip and paint. It is that easy!

6. Paint & Sip, Vermont Pie and Pasta Company, Derby, VT

Established in 2011, Vermont Pie & Pasta Company is a spin-off of the much older Hoagies Pizza and Pasta (1996). The vision for Vermont Pie & Pasta Company is to offer fresh Vermont ingredients served by a caring staff in a welcoming and comfortable environment. Offering paint and sip events where you can order off the menu, what could be better that art, pizza pie, and alcohol?

7. Cork & Canvas, Tip Top Pottery, White River Junction, VT

Established in 2005, Tip Top Pottery offers glass, pottery, and painting classes. Cork & Canvas is their take on a guided painting classes with instruction. Classes include all the materials you’ll need to get in touch with your inner Van Gogh, and $40 covers everything but beverages and snacks. A group of eight is required to run the event.

8. Canvas & Cocktails, Simply Delicious, Barre, VT

Instead of the focus being on the painting, Canvas & Cocktails is more like a cocktail party where you also paint. Tickets for each class are $40 per person, which includes a blank 16 by 20-inch canvas, acrylic paint, brushes, and an apron. Drinks—beer, wine, and even cocktails—can be ordered at the bar and are not included in the price. Get your photo taken holding your masterpiece and share it on social media.

9. Kate Franklin Painting, Manchester, VT

Kate Franklin Painting offers wine and painting parties, classes, and event painting.  These events are primarily BYOB and can be brought to the office, wedding, or event space. 10. A Taste of Art, South Burlington, VT
