8:00 pm - 10:00 pm: Transition – a Sas Carey Documentary with Khongoroo

A documentary from Nomadicare Films

Khongoroo grew up in a family of reindeer herders. Her ill father had a dream—that his offspring would get a profession after proper schooling. Now Khongoroo has become a medical doctor and found work in Mongolia’s capital Ulaanbaatar. But, in her heart, she misses the taiga, her family, and the life of her community.

In Transition, Khongoroo is treating patients as a clinic doctor when she has an opportunity to visit her home. She travels the distance, made greater by mud tracks for roads followed by horse trails. What follows is a reunion, but it is temporary, since she must return to the city to follow the path of the golden world.
