Various Venues in Middlebury

Schedule of Events:

9:30 am - 9:30 am: Cider Monday Celebration for Vermont Book Shop’s 70th Year!

Instead of Cyber Monday, a day when online merchants offer special deals, we invite you to a new tradition, CIDER MONDAY. Step away from your computers and stop by for a free cup of apple cider. We’re partnering with Sunrise Orchards of Cornwall to bring you you fresh, delicious local cider! Stop in for a free cup, maybe a cider donut, see some real people and have a good time checking out what’s in our store. We’ll “officially” recognize the December 17th, 1949 opening of the Vermont Book Shop and celebrate 70 years in business. We’ll also unveil a specially designed and letterpress-printed Robert Frost poem, “A Time to Talk,” created in collaboration with John Vincent of A Revolutionary Press as a 70th anniversary commemorative piece.

Location: Vermont Book Shop, 38 Main Street, Middlebury, VT.

5:30 pm - 6:00 pm: Lions Club Memory Tree Lighting

Join us for the Lions Club Memory Tree Lighting on December 2nd at 5:30pm at Courthouse Square (across from the Middlebury Inn.) This is a free event that is open to everyone.

Location: Courthouse Square, 14 Courthouse Square, Middlebury, VT 05753.
