Six miles off the coast of Maine, a treeless island teams with birdlife. Eastern Egg Rock, a wildlife sanctuary managed by Audubon, is home to guillemots, terns, gulls, eiders, and of course, puffins. Join other youth and teen birders as we travel to Boothbay Harbor for a boat tour of the island. On our 2 ½ hour boat trip we will get close views of nesting seabirds, as well as marine mammals. We’ll make stops at several legendary coastal birding spots, including Kennebunk Plains, Gilsland Farm Audubon Center, and Scarborough Marsh. Led by NBNC teacher/naturalist Zac Cota.
